Because today is publishing day at my day job, I’m not able to put together a full newsletter that would do justice to whatever team I’m covering (next up is Texas State) today. Instead, I thought that now would be a great time to send out a call for questions to go into the February Q&A. I’d like to expand into this format more both in written form and over on Twitch, where the Outside Zone stream will be kicking off in the next week or so, and now seems like a good time to do it.
So, if you have a scheme question, a program question, or any football question that you want answered, please drop those off in the comment section, and I will get to them on Wednesday in what will now be a paid newsletter, because I’m going to be making this one free (in other words, I’m not going to charge you for these two paragraphs). Thanks!
What is your single favorite play from this past season?
What do you think about Charger's new Coach, Brandon Staley's philosophy on defense being a "system is 1-on-1s in the run game and 2-on-1s in the passing game" and implementing a two high system similar to Fangio principles to combat explosive pass plays. Quite frankly, why dont more teams do this, college and pros? Could a team like Ohio State benefit in doing something like this? Seems like the Bucs benefited from it in the SB as opposed to what Bowles usually likes to run.
